William Coldwell died in 1717 his tombstone tells a good story if you have good eyesight.
Gaspereau Nova Scotia. in December of 2001 You'll find over 30 Coldwells in the phone book there.
Perez Coldwell Perez died in a bad storm at sea in 1850 and finally got a monument in year 2000 thanks to family donors like Martha Coldwell of Norway.

Mark at Gaspereau Cemetary ...June 8, 2002. There are over 35 headstones with Coldwell engravings.
Not far from Gaspereau in Newtonville there is another Coldwells Cemetery with a lot of the original Coldwell and Jordans buried. There is also a private Coldwell burial ground on another part of the Gaspereau Valley high on a hill as noted by Lolita Crosby. Her grandfather Cyrus is buried there.

The oldest living Coldwell in the Gaspereau village is on the left, she is Madeline Kennie and is 96. Madeline lives across the road on the other side of the long red bard you can see in the Community Centre photo above. Hulda and Lorne (age 81) run a farm down the road with the help of their two sons.
